Palatine’s Environmental Efforts

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Recently, the issues of global warming and energy conservation have saturated the media. Everyone is being encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle more than ever. Being environmentally conscious is important to many Palatine residents.

In recent years there have been an increased number of green buildings and green housing. “Green” housing is energy efficient and uses as many recycled materials as possible. More and more homebuyers are beginning to seek housing that is beneficial to the environment.

The amount of green housing I have helped to buy and sell in the past year is remarkable. Many people are pleasantly surprised to learn that a small town like Palatine can be so environmentally progressive. Palatine has been building green for quite some time now. Some people who were initially considering moving to Chicago because of its high greenness factor have chosen Palatine instead because it offers many of the same great benefits.

Palatine is the perfect option for those looking to find a home that is good for the environment. For assistance finding a green home in Palatine visit www.realestateinpalatineil.com.

Palatine is a Wholesome Place to live

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Palatine strives for perfection when it comes to strong values and morals. Palatine families feel very strongly about preserving these beliefs, and passing them down through the generations.

The citizens of Palatine are people who want the best possible life for their children. Everything about Palatine reflects that it is a progressive family town. Palatine schools rank highly against the rest of Illinois.

Because the education system is so high quality, Palatine residents end up earning more money than the average Illinois resident.

This draws a lot of people to want to raise their families in Palatine. The newfound interest in Palatine has resulted in new developments throughout the city. More housing is being built, and the amount of businesses is growing. In the past few years, the population has grown steadily as more and more people decide they want to live a Palatine lifestyle. The residents of this small city are also very close to each other. I have lived in Palatine my whole life. I was married here, I had children here, and my children will most likely have their children here.

Although Palatine is growing steadily, the values that Palatine residents stay true to are only growing stronger. I work in real estate and this is the number one thing I tell families who are looking for homes in Palatine. I tell them that Palatine is a great place to live because it stands for something. Relocating to Palatine

Monday, May 19th, 2008

I had lived in a big city for as long as I could remember. When I graduated from DePaul University I decided to get a job in the city. I found a great job at a Chicago based company. I had been working there for almost a year when they asked me to relocate to Palatine. I was in shock. I loved my job but I was not ready to leave Chicago.

The company made me an offer I couldn’t turn down so I ended up moving to Palatine. It was a bit of an adjustment. It was weird falling asleep without the noises of traffic. I quickly became accustomed to small-city living. Although it is a small city, there is still plenty to do. It is also wonderful to live amongst fresh air and greenery. Although I missed my favorite restaurants that I was used to, I found new ones that I liked just as much if not better. I purchased a gorgeous one-bedroom condo that would have cost me a small fortune in Chicago. A year after I had moved to Palatine, my company asked me if I wanted to go back to the Chicago or stay. I decided to renew my contract in Palatine.

I was enamored with the small city. I just couldn’t give up the trees and the fresh air. After another year I decided to buy a house there. The houses in Palatine are beautiful and cozy and I was ready to settle down. I was able to find a spacious two-bedroom house. The house is a dream, and I love that I didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it. I found it the same way I found my condo at www.realestateinpalatineil.com. They are amazing at what they do!

Palatine is for everyone!

People often think that it is not possible to live in a suburb like Palatine unless you are wealthy. While it is true that Palatine residents earn more than the Illinois average, not everyone in Palatine is rich. There are many large and expensive homes there, but there are also many smaller, lower priced houses.

There are even several small to mid-sized homes that are located in close proximity to the expensive parts of town. One of the first things I did when I moved to Palatine from another nearby suburb was to evaluate the homes in the area. I am a real estate agent and if I wanted to be successful I had to know what the market there was like. I can’t help people find what they are looking for if I don’t know what the city has to offer.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that even though Palatine is an affluent suburb it is economically diverse. There is housing available in many different price ranges. During my first month at work I sold several homes in the same area.

Purchasing a Small Family Home in Palatine

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Palatine is a wonderful community for young families. As a real estate agent I have noticed that more and more young families have been purchasing homes. It seems that people are having children at a younger age and are looking for housing to raise their families in.

One of the most rewarding things about my job is helping young families to purchase their first home. Lately I have been able to do so more often. There are plenty of smaller, lower priced homes in many of Palatine’s most desired neighborhoods.

It is wonderful that so many lower income young families can have roomy homes complete with front lawns for children to run around in. I love having such a gratifying job, where I can help people to achieve their dreams. If you need assistance finding an ideal home for you and your family visit www.realestateinpalatineil.com.
